North Carolina enacted its long-term care insurance Rate Stability Regulation with an effective date of February 1st, 2003.
- All long-term care policies issued on or after February 1st, 2003 are protected under North Carolina’s Rate Stability Regulation.
- Long-term care policies issued before February 1st, 2003 are NOT protected under North Carolina’s Rate Stability Regulation.
Continental Casualty (CNA)* has not had any premium increases on any of the policies they’ve issued in North Carolina since February 1st, 2003.
Every long-term care policy purchased today by a resident of North Carolina is protected by North Carolina’s Rate Stability Regulation.
